We are Erika and Kali, Co-Founders of Mercury & Bloom.
We curate and sell tote bags that are hand woven by local Mexican artists made from 100% recycled plastic. Our bags are versatile and each one is unique. Our bags are lightweight yet durable; they can be taken anywhere and used for anything.
We met in 2020 while substitute teaching during the Pandemic. Through a challenging time, we became fast friends and realized we worked really well together. While on a birthday trip to San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, we discovered these incredibly unique, colorful, and fun tote bags, made by local artisans. We established relationships with several of the artists and knew we wanted to share their work with our friends and family back in Baltimore. With our combined knowledge of business, marketing, and the arts, we began to think bigger and decided to start our own business. We are excited to be on this journey and can’t wait to see what is to come!
